My First Question......

This question is gospel based.

Assuming that the Garden of Eden was in Missouri, USA (which has been declared by Latter-day Revelation) ........

How come we've never seen the tree of life, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or all of the other things that were there? If the answer is that they were all washed away in the Great Flood, then.... How did the altar that Adam prayed upon survive the flood?

Hmmm...interesting question...I've never heard anything about about Adam's altar surviving the flood. I guess the main thing I'm thinking is that you are talking about objects from the very beginning of time. They are still uncovering civilizations from thousands of years ago, which seems amazing. Seeing a tree of knowledge would be very cool, but i think unlikely. I had a book of mormon prof. at byu talk about how cool it would be if one day archeologists (sp?)dug up a stone or something that undeniably proved the Book of Mormon was true. For example, a stone that says, "Zarahemna!" It would be so stinkin cool, got to admit, but I think HIGHLY unlikely...not because there isn't one somewhere, but because faith is so important. I think it is true of the tree as well. We'll stick with faith.

How glad am I that you have a blog??? SOOOOO GLAD!!!!!!!!

Glad to see you blogging. Your question has got me thinking, and I agree with Mel. Finding the remnance of a single tree from the beginning of creation is highly unlikely. I guess I never really wondered what happened to the Garden of Eden after man was cast out. Did it continue to exist, was it destroyed?
